Tippitoes Stroller Reviews

Reviews

Here you will find a small selection of customer reviews about the Tippitoes Stroller.

I wanted a stroller that was lightweight, folded easily, came with a raincover, reclined a little if possible and with handles long enough to accomodate my stride so I could walk comfortably when pushing it. The Tippitoes Max Viz ticks all these boxes. It is also extremely light and easy to manoeuvre, folds without effort and is a gorgeous colour. The only drawback I have found is that the child is able to lean as far forward as they can go, due to the flexible backrest. I'm not sure if this is a problem as they remain securely strapped in but it does look alarming. Otherwise, love it. This is an okay cheap light buggy if you just need it for very occasional use or to take on holiday once or twice. Ours was great for 8 mths and then the rubber on the wheels fell off in strips rendering the buggy unusable. (the wheels cannot be replaced as they are riveted on) A good light weight compact pushchair, great for holidays and shopping as it is fairly thin when folded. Little one looks comfortable in it even when she is asleep. A very good value for money pushchair, I would recommend it to any one that is if you don't mind constantly flicking off black flies form it all summer. We bought this as a cheap holiday pushchair for our son who had just started walking. It went everywhere - over sand, shingle and dunes, in sun and in rain, through puddles and streams. We havent taken any care of it and it just keeps going! A sturdy ensible everyday pushchair which does the job. I love the green colour but had the orange as our pram was green and my husband wouldnt let me have 2 green ones! extremely pleased with this purchase is definetly well worth the money comes with raincover and sunshade. nice sturdy wheels lovely and girly well happy with this pushchair expesially the price I purchased this buggy as a stop gap when my old one of 2 years finally gave up. My daughter is 2 so I thought this would be suitable for the next 6 months or so when we go out shopping etc. I was surprised at how good this buggy is for the price. Yes, it is not the quality of the more expensive ranges, but it is lightweight, portable and sturdy. I would suggest you get a raincover that covers the whole buggy as the one suppied only covers the front and in heavy rain the canopy can get saturated and leak. All in all I am impressed. Lightweight and folds up into a small space, which is exactly what we wanted as my wife is pregnant again and the larger pushchair was geting to be too much for her. After reading many reviews I bought two of these buggys for my 19 month old twins as we were going on holiday and I didn't want to take our enormous double 3-wheeler. I bought a set of buggy clips and now find myself using these buggys joined together all the time instead of my heavy giant double which takes up my whole boot!

Here are my good points:
* easy to open and collapse
* clip to keep collapsed buggy closed
* carry handle
* clip on canopy
* adjustable seat
* rain cover
* storage basket
* lockable front swivel wheels
* sturdy
* decent height handles
* fully adjustable restraint straps
* good quality materials
* bright colour (I've got two green ones)

Here are my other points: (would be unfair to call 'bad' points)
* the height of the back seat could benefit from being slightly higher

I looked at many buggys before settling on these and I really am delighted with them. I almost bought two supermarket buggys for 18 each which did not have a raincover, adjustable seat, canopy, storage basket or swivel and lockable wheels.
I am so glad I spent the extra money as these buggys are super quality.

I am 5'9" and the handles are a perfect height to push without have to hunch over, the storage basket isn't enormous but its perfectly adequate for my handbag, a blanket and a toy. The seating material and straps are good quality - both material and stitching. They fold down very easily and the clip holds them closed so you can remove them from the boot or pick them up one handed without them opening up.

The canopy folds back and has a clip either side to lock it in the open position. You can also adjust the height simply by sliding it up and down the frame of the buggy that it clips on to.

A few of the other reviews mentioned that the raincover only poppers onto the canopy and doesn't cover it. I don't find this a problem. It poppers on very easily and I have to bring the raincover into the house to dry it out so its no problem bringing the canopy in too.
The only thing I would agree with from other reviews is the height of the back seat could benefit from being slightly higher. We haven't found this to be a problem and both my twins seem comfortable when sleeping in the buggy when its fully reclined, and the canopy has a large piece of material than hangs down the back so when the seat is fully reclined, they are still completely protected from wind and rain.

I would definitely recommend this buggy to anyone as it really is excellent value for money. So far so good. Seems worth the 40ish spent. Only downside is that the back of the seat is not as high as I would have liked. But as my 18mth old is happy sitting upright the majority of the time it's not a major issue. Very light and easy to push, fits easily into the boot of my fiesta, which is a big plus!! The Max Viz stroller is perfect for holidays or walks or just general out and about. It folds up neatly and small enough for a boot and has a carry handle to help carrying. The seat doesn't lie flat but reclines to a suitable position for baby to sleep and sits upright for the nosier babies who like to see what's going on!! We also have a buggy board attached to ours and it's very suitable for the pram and the pram still folds up normally with the board brackets still attached! Overall a brilliant purchase! Looks so much more expensive than it is! And stands out from ALL the other buggies! folds up super small and super light for holidays. Bargain! Easy to fold and takes not a lot of space in a boot. Great for using in shops but not very comfortable for baby on streets as have very small wheels. Anyway, I bought that to use only when we go shopping so I can say its great. And looks more expensive than is ;) This is a replacement buggy for my 2 yr 4 month old son and so I didn't want to spend much money at all as we will only be using the buggy occasionally. The reviews were good so thought I would give the Max Viz a shot. We haven't really used it much yet, but my first impressions are in agreement with the other reviewers. It is much sturdier than I thought it would be and it doesn't look as cheap as you would expect. The colour (green, my son's favourite, which means he is happy to get in!) is far nicer than in the photo, and I won't be embarrassed to be seen pushing it as it is not at all garish.

The rain cover was so easy to put on, just 2 poppers on the hood (and there is a strip of green fabric lining that goes around the outside of the hood so shouldn't be any leakage) and it goes easily past his feet, despite him being over 2. You can also attach the rain cover at the bottom on both sides with velcro (also green, nice touch for such a cheap pushchair!).

The only thing that I'm not sure about is the back as it is fairly soft and adjusted by two straps, and I'm more used to solid backs as you get in MacLaren or Silver Cross. However, our Nipper double buggy has the same type of back and I have to say that, in fact, the back of the Max Viz stroller feels better than the Nipper, which is a far more expensive pushchair. My son says he is comfy and he does seem well enough supported, so I probably just need to get used to it!

The buggy is light to push and the brakes seem to work well so far (I could never get my daughter's MacLaren ones to work!).

It folds in the same way as the Maclaren and Silver Cross buggies and is pretty compact (although I have been using a Zapp, which obviously goes even smaller!)

In comparison to previous buggies (and I have had many over the years) this is a really good buy, although as I have mentioned, I do only intend to use it occasionally (running late for nursery, windy/icy days and on holiday when he has exhausted himself!)

Just to put some perspective on this purchase, our 2 year old Silver Cross Pop fell apart in our driveway whilst he was sitting in it a few weeks ago (probably my fault, as I was guilty of hanging too much shopping etc off the handles and the frame had got a bit wobbly!) We were using my daughter's old Zapp quite happily ever since and thought that would see us through the remaining pushchair months, but after a very windy day I realised this was not going to be much use in the winter as the rain cover is shockingly inaedquate and kept blowing off. I considered buying another rain cover but it would have been about half the cost of the Max Viz for ones that I liked!

Perhaps I should have waited a little longer to write my review, but as buggy is only to be used occasionally, I didn't think my opinion would change that much! I cant believe how great this item is, its so great me and my wife are thinking of buying one in orange too, cos its such a bargain, looks much more expensive than it is, our lil boy looks so cosy in it, and when folded up its so small that its shocking!! And this item comes with a rain cover for all those confused because it doesnt state it any where. Buy it, you wont be disappointed!! We bought this stroller to take on holiday at the end of the month. We decided to test it on a shopping outing recently. It's lightweight, bright, easy to operate and didn't cost the earth!!! We would highly recommend this buggy for occasional use as we intend to use it. recieved my stroller today and its fantastic value and very well made, don't know why anyone spends money on more expensive brands when this is just as good and my little man is very happy to :-) I would definitely recommend this item to anyone who is travelling or has short distance use in mind. Fits perfectly on a plane and manouvres beautifully on non bumpy surfaces. This stroller is an excellent buy! I was a little suspicious at first, as the price seemed too good to be true, but the quality is really pleasing. The materials are good, and the stroller is simultaneously sturdy and lightweight. The hood and the rain cover are also easy to attach and light to carry. Our baby loves to sit in this stroller, and it's handy to push. I truly recommend this product! Bought this as a light weight alternative to my baby's travel system. It is excellent. Light, without being flimsy and well put together. Very happy. I was skeptical about buying a cheap buggy as I thought it would be poor quality. But this Tippitoes Move has proved me wrong. I bought it for my son who is 16 months for us going on holiday, and as it arrived so quickly I have been using it instead of his quinny pram, it is light, easy to steer, looks the part and easy to fold. 100% happy with this product. Im so happy i got this stroller as its perfect for my baby and she loves it. Its easy to control and very light and the rain cover and hood just clip on and off easy. I would reconmend to anyone who looking for a good bargin :) I bought this purple stoller as a back up buggy for my 20 mth old Grandson. It arrived promptly and was well packaged. The stroller is easy to set up and secure. It does take effort to fold but is light to lift for storage e.g. the car boot. This buggy is so light-weight and was really easy to put together.I would recommend this to anyone.No hassle and an exceptional buy.I only had to wait a day for the delivery too.I'm really pleased all round. Many thanks Amazon. Bought this pushchair for when I look after my toddler granddaughter. It is easy to put up and down and fits into the boot of my small car without having to lower one of the back seats, which is a bonus. It is comfortable to push and manoeuvre, although a taller person might not find it so comfortable. A small disadvantage is that the hood is separate and the one I received is a bit lopsided from the packaging. All in all a very good buy at an affordable price - I bought mine when it was on offer. I got this in the afternoon just before my tour around London for holidays. Was pleasantly surprised that it was assembly-free and all i did was to pull it open and snap on the sun shade. My 6 month old loves it!! It's a really compact and lightweight travel stroller. i found that this buggy is VERY GOOD for the price i pay'd, i have a very small 11month old daughter who loves it, i mainly baught it for my 4 year old sons buggy board to fit on wasnt sure if it would because of it being so cheap but it actualy fits really well. would definatly recomend. :) Buggy looks nice in picture it's a nice buggy for using on holiday or going out for the day and you need boot space in the car.would not use as a main buggy for my son as he does not look comfortable in it and its very light good for min use does the job. I purchased this item, so that my mom had a pushchair at her house that we could use when visiting her. The stroller is quite sturdy and is able to move quite easy over pavements and grassy areas. It collapses easily, so transporting it, either in a car or bus isn't a problem. It comes with a detachable hood, a small basket and a raincover. I think for the price it is an excellent purchase I purchased this stroller for my 6 month old daughter because I am planning on bringing her to the US in a couple of weeks. It is a great little stroller, perfect for going around the shops. The rain cover is easy to put on/off and folds down very compact. It also reclines which is very hard to find in a stroller in this price range... this is a priority for a child going on a holiday. Very reasonable price so just perfect, nothing negative to say from me! Ordered this for my house when Lilly comes to stay. Easy to use and fits easily into boot of car, would recommend this item I have twins, so i bought 2, they are very smal and pratical to transport in car, very easy to open and make adjustments.
I recomend. My wife was well pleased when this was delivered, promptly i may add,it took a very short time to put together.She loved it's ease of movement,the handles placement made it feel so natural when pushing the buggy, so much so in no time she was out pushing it down the village.The packaging was very good,instructions clear.She also got included,rain cover,sun canopy and shopping tray.It came in many colours. What a great stroller! The design and colour .... dead trendy!! Its easy to push and fold. It also fits in the boot of our car, and l still have room for my shopping. And SSSSSsssssOOOOoooo cheap Just Love it So pleased with this stroller it's light weight but solid. Was worried at first when I saw the price I thought it would be Ok BUT It's amazing value for the money. Attractive and complete with rain covers you can't go wrong Great pushchair, fantastic for the price. Son likes the pushchair and it's easy to fold and put up. Handle size is good. Would recommend. Really pleased with this buggy- thought it would be of a decent quality for the price but was actually better than I thought. I had read some reviews about the buggy falling apart but it doesn't look like it would last for a shorter time than any of the more expensive pushchairs.

the buggy looks and feels really sturdy and is a good height for my husband to push. We bought this pushchair to go on holiday but I think I'll be using it more often!! ITS A REALLY GOOD LOOKING BUGGY LIGHTWIEGHT FOLDS UP UMBRELLA STYLE GREAT FOR MY 2 YEAR OLD, PLEASED WITH IT ! brilliant product. perfect for my 7 month old girl who is not a tiny baby. all went together well and is a great size. folds down compactly, only thing the instructions dont specify is that you have to push the lever on the back down first before pulling the brake knob up so it takes the slack, apart from that perfect. would recommend anytime. my husband is 6ft2 and its an ideal height for him. i use the stroller nearly everyday and its been used for off-roading too and is still intact :) i bought this pram last year, it was nice, easy 2 use, then suddenly fortnight before xmas... it broke... all bolts shot out and collapsed on my daughter.. wouldnt buy 1 again. This pushchair is brilliant. Lovely Handel hight, light to push. Fabric is a good design. Great pushchair, fantastic for the price . Its easy to push and fold. It also fits in the boot of our car, and l still have room for my shopping. I love this pram! We've been using it for a couple of months now & it's still as good as day 1. The frame feels very stable (no squeaks), you can put shopping bags on the handles without the pram falling over backwards (even when pram is empty), it's very easy to push & easy to fold up.
The pram lies completely flat unlike some of the other umbrella prams on the market & the raincover covers little ones feet completely.
The lovely design of the seat is easy to keep clean & we get a lot of positive compliments when out & about with the pram. I purchased this stroller a few weeks ago. Really good value for money. Very easy to assemble and my 22 month old is very comfortable in it. Folds down very easily and reclines sufficiently enough for your little one to sleep. Only grumble is that the hood can very easily be pulled off but very easy to put back on! If you are looking for a cheap stroller which gets you from A to B buy this one! I bought this for our one year old daughter as I wanted something light-weight and compact for holidays and for the Grandparents to stuff in the back of the car! It folds very neatly, has a handy stuff tray and waterproof cover, handles reasonably well and is a good neutral colour. If you're not after an all-singing-all-dancing number and just want a good old pushie like they used to make 'em, this is ideal and great value. Recomended! I bought this buggy as it had so many good reviews and because it was such a bargain price.

The buggy is excellent. It's light, fits into a tiny polo boot, it is good quality material and comes with a hood and raincover. It's so easy to lift in and out of boot and pushes really well. The front wheels can be locked if necessary.

It's a shame is doesn't come in different colours, but at least the grey doesn't show the dirt!

Definitely recommend buying this buggy. Unlike many fancier (and more expensive) strollers the Move arrived fully assembled, only needing to be opened out to be ready to use. Opening the Move is as simple as shaking it out and then pushing the lock down with your foot, something that can easily be performed one handed while carrying a toddler in the other hand. Closing the Move is a little more difficult, there is a safety mechanism that must be engaged before pulling the stroller closed via a webbing handle. Although this is something that can technically be performed one-handed, it's not something I can normally manage while trying to hold onto a toddler's hand. Weighing in at 6kg (13.2lb) the Move is certainly not the lightest of strollers, but it is certainly still light enough for me to lift into car boots and folding down to just 108cm x 25cm x 14.5cm it is small enough to even fit in a hatchback. When folded it is also small enough to fit into a corner for storage and will stand almost upright leant against a wall with the brakes engaged.

Once fully opened the Move stands far taller than most bargain basement strollers, with a handle height of 101cm, it is perhaps a little tall for those of the short persuasion (like me), but perfect for medium and taller operators. Daddy far prefers the handle height to other strollers we've owned, while it's taken me a while to get used to it. As seems to be standard with strollers nowadays the front wheels can be set to either swivel or fixed, and as always I prefer swivel which gives good manoeuvrability. I have no trouble negotiating tight spaces or sharp curves and have no trouble lifting the Move up and down curbs or on and off public transport. Although in reality not the lightest of strollers, the Move does feel very light in operation, even when loaded with a heavy toddler it is no chore to push, and I barely break a sweat even when pushing uphill. Rather than being coated with foam, the two handles have a plastic coating and while it's good that these don't absorb sweat and discolour, they do become slippery on warmer days. The rear brakes are operates via a lever at the bottom rear of the Move, are easy to engage with one foot and hold the stroller surprisingly firmly, even the sudden movements of a bus don't cause them to disengage. There is a small shopping basket under the seat, it's just large enough to hold four pints of milk, but bags can also be placed over the handles.

Being charcoal grey the Move is definitely unisex in design and I do like that the fabric doesn't show up every speck of dirt. Although the material cannot be removed from the frame for washing it can be wiped with a cloth, dries quickly and doesn't absorb liquids. The seat and backrest are lightly padded, which provides an amount of comfort for the rider and the backrest can also be adjusted from upright though to approximately three quarter lie back. I particularly like the way this stroller lies back, firstly because it goes fully upright (which a previous stroller didn't) and secondly because I can fully adjust the level of lie back. On first appearance the back rest does seem a little on the short side, but this is an optical illusion caused by the height of the handles. Freddy is a tall two year old and his head is fully supported when laying back. The seat is of a good depth, not so deep that Freddy is lost in it, but not so shallow that his bum hangs off. The foot rest is also perfectly positioned for two year old Freddy to rest his feet while travelling or step on to get into the seat. For extra security the Move comes complete with a fully adjustable five point harness and additional D-rings. The harness is easily adjusted at all five points, meaning that it can be adjusted to fit a six month old or large toddler and everything in between. I particularly like that the crotch strap is adjustable, as this is something that is often neglected and yet makes the fit that much better.

Surprisingly for such a cheap stroller, the Move comes complete with a hood and rain cover. The hood clips into place and when opened is of a reasonable size and reasonably good at keeping the sun out of Freddy's eyes. One slight problem with the hood is that it doesn't fit as securely on the frame as I would like, it does tend to pop off if leant on a little too heavily. The rain cover can only be utilised while the hood is opened and fits onto the hood via a pair of poppers and then to the bottom of the stroller frame via Velcro strips. The rain cover actually does a pretty good job, far better than I expected. It manages to cover most of Freddy, with only the tip of his toes poking out and the hood holds it a good distance from his face. It certainly managed to keep Freddy dry in a shower today.

Although we've not had the Move for very long (about a month), so far I'm very happy with it. I was immediately impressed when I received it that I didn't need to perform any assembly before first use and that it came complete with hood and rain cover. Although it took me a few journeys to get used to the extra handle height, it's no comfortable to push, highly manoeuvrable, and appears very durable. I won't say that Freddy is particularly happy to be put in this stroller, (he's a toddler, he'd far prefer to be running around), but he does seem comfortable and secure once strapped in. He is certainly comfortable enough to sleep, when in lay back position and he seems happy enough when upright.

If you're looking for a cheap, reasonably light, fairly compact, lie back stroller for a baby or toddler over the age of 6 months, then the Tippitoes Move is a pretty good option that I have no hesitation in recommending. In fact I would go as far as giving it five stars out of five and should I need to replace it before Freddy is completely ready to give up his wheels then I will be replacing like for like. Just arrived today, I must say Ive been testing it out with my 4 month old and I'd say this is great value for money, its sturdy and lightweight, easy to steer,you can fold it down easily, you can adjust the back and it has a raincover, Thumbs up from me! I bought this light weight buggy to keep in the car for small journeys. It is fantatic quality and great value for money. Delighted with my purchase and would highly recommend to anyone who is thinking to buy one. I did look at others feedback prior to buying and it ticks all the boxes for me. Used it today for the first time and its great!!!!!! I have used various buggys (all 2nd hand) inc. Graco's and Quinny's and they are all good apart from being bulky to store and carry in a vehicle so I am delighted with this Tippitoes buggy! It really is lightweight but so sturdy when it is opened up & hs a great sun canopy. It folds up "umbrella" style and takes up minimal room when stowed away or can easily fit in a car boot (again, not so easy with more expensive and bulky models). The harness is amazingly adjustable and beats the expensive Quinny range handsdown with such ample room for a toddlers growth. For such a relatively small outlay you will receive a cracking product that does exactly what it should and I would happily recommend it to other Amazon buyers I wish I'd bought this before buying the other costly mistakes as my little girl outgrew them before we got our money's worth!! I bought this buggy for my granddaughter, who is 11 months old. It is light and easy to use. I found her bigger pram too awkward to use and saw this on Amazon. The rain cover is simple to put on in a hurry. It all folds up and fits at the back of the car boot. absolulty brilliant!! bought as a holiday stroller for going abroad - very happy baby slept well in it the hood is bigger than normal so keeps light out folds down easy and is light weight Bought this buggy for my 4 yr old. So light but sturdy. Find difficulties lifting heavy items so this was brilliant. Wee boy loves it too. Only negatives is seat does not have much depth and back of seat is not high enough for him to lean his head back but as a buggy for a tired toddler it does the job. Researched lots of buggies and this came out best price etc. Would recommend.
